Released in 1991, Dolly Dearest is a supernatural horror film about an American family that relocates to Mexico after the father acquires a long-abandoned doll factory. Their young daughter becomes attached to a porcelain doll connected to a nearby archaeological dig and an ancient local legend. As strange behavior and unsettling incidents begin to affect the household, the parents struggle to understand what is happening while cultural warnings are largely ignored.
